I was on my way out of Sun Valley, headed home, 11 hours to Sonoma County. It was March 2021, and I had just picked up my girls from the Sun Valley ice rink, headed over Elkhorn Road on my way to 75 south. And there it was. 92 Elkhorn Rd., with a for sale sign on it. I briefly noticed the view, briefly thought, “that’s nice,” and then forgot about it until several days later. I had thought about finding a new home in Sun Valley up until then, but not a vacant piece of property. And that visual of passing by 92 Elkhorn kept returning in my head.
By May, we had a deal. I loved how the property was on the bike path, and just a couple house walk to the bus stop. I loved how the lot was elevated, with amazing view south to the Ohio Benchmark (Mindbender) and across the 8th fairway of the Elkhorn Golf Course. Just over the hill is Dollar Mountain, and just beyond that is the Sun Valley Resort village.
